    Default Charging battery's

Storing boat 2 hours away from home with no electric available to charge battery's. A lot of work having to bring them home. Any good new?

I would either find a reliable source of electricity or learn the lost art of a skulling paddle.

"Kinda" in the same boat as you, MT .... I live in an apt complex & there's no outside electrical outlets, so I have to pack my 3 batteries up/down the stairs (along with my fishing equipment & electronics). Getting a bit too old to keep doing so for very much longer, which is why I switched out a Series 29 L/A battery (for my Livescope) with a 50ah Lithium. I can handle the Series 24 starting battery, but am starting to struggle with the AGM I use for the trolling motor. Might have to consider a Lithium for the TM, too.

Not sure what you can do, in your situation, but if one's available I'd be looking for a boat storage building with electricity close to the lake you fish ... and chargers that are digital, so you can leave them on charge between uses.

Off site storage costs, I pay by the year near Ross Barnett for a shed to keep my boat in. If paying by the year you usually get 1 month free or 10% discount which adds up to more than a month.

Solar sounds expensive but may be an option. But then you have the thought in the back of your head about barreries plugged in while you are gone, what if something breaks or battery blows and causes a fire with nobody around?

If its a place you go to pick up the boat and go fishing, id take batteries home. And invest in lithium so i dont break my back doing it

If its a lake where the boat is stored, like a weekend trip type situation, a small honda generator might work well to charge when you are done fishing then top them off before you go next. Might be a "turn it on and go have dinner while they charge" type situation.

I use a 2000 watt gas powered generator/ inverter to charge my batteries and it does a fantastic job. It has a two gallon tank that lasts for roughly 20 or so hours. Has two outlets. I can charge my 24 v trolling setup and my bow battery at the same time. There’s quite a few good ones at great prices. Check into them on Amazon.

And these batteries are lithium too. Just in case you were wondering.

My is I'd put Quick connects on my batteries & snatch them out when I store my boat to take them home where they charge. Sure it's a little extra but Lithium arm light & this keeps me fully ready to go if I couldn't find a storage with electricity. 2nd option is to cut something else out the budget ro offset pay more for a better storage place.

I use to run 6 Lithium in my Fish & Ski that has lights, sound system, 15 inch graph & when the batteries would drain I'd disconnect & reconnect the fresh Lithiums & baby the Party don't stop.
