Went to Cedar Creek instead and caught 14 in 3 hours. As you Cedar Creek is a dock shooting lake and that's what I done. I only found fish on docks that were 12 ft or deeper. I did not find any shallow at all.

Awesome. 14 in 3 hours = 25 by 6 hours if ya stay on track. Ole Cedar Creek doesn't fit my eye for various reasons but I see people who know the lake pull out some Toads. When the weather/wind begins to have some type of sensible conditions I've neglected Ole Home Lake Ray Hubbard & need to bash my head to prove I can still Tx Limitz on it to myself. East Tx Crappie are JUST SO ADDICTIVE!

Believe it or not I use to run across Wally Marshall alot on Ray Hubbard when we were both teenagers. I had a old Sears Gamefisher jon boat and he use guide from the bank. I never knew he would become Mr. Crappie years later. He got his start on Hubbard.

@Grainraiser WOW.. WOW.. WOW.. WOW.. I Never knew the guy even heard of Ole Pray Hubbard. Brother RAY HUBBARD IS A HUGE PART OF WHAT HAS MADE ME THE CRAPPIE FISHERMAN I AM NOW. You have to Earn them so when I get on these lakes where they don't spook from 30 feet away, run when they here the plop from the lure splash in 20 feet of water, as well are not on Lay Downs mixed in with the bottom, I can S L A Y THEM Sir. I've gone Ball Headed from fishing Ole Lake Pray Hubbard but when you learn things Hard, Life becomes real easy. But when you learn things Easy, Life becomes real hard. Me and Ole "Pray Hubbard" have a Date coming up when the weather is suitable. I'm staring out the window at him now.

List of things Ray Hubbard taught me:
*To Load & Unload my boat
    *Boat Control
    *To Pitch out to Crappie
    *What an Eddy is
    *To Catfish like I Bass Fish but I won't reveal that. D E A D L Y!!!!
*To Study Lake Maps before Running in the Center because I thought it was the deepest & safest
*Bikini females that drink are worth less than Crappie Jigs
*How to get a Helicopter with a Spot Light on the lakes attention
*That Catfish that are 4 feet or bigger are common

Wally grew up Garland and he learned how to crappie fish on Ray Hubbard. I meet him at a seminar at the Bass Pro Shop and we had big laughs regarding crappie fishing Hubbard back in the 70's. I really wish I had the patience to learn that lake. There are some parts on the upper end that you never ever see any boats fishing it. I don't even think they stock hybrids in it now.
