    If a big rain comes on one of our local lakes around here it can really mess crappie & bass fishing both up because the water rises so much & gets muddy. The fish pull out & suspend in open water waiting for things to stabilize.

    The fish finder did show tons of fish suspended in deeper water so that could be what happened. Been really, REALLY wet here this year and colder than normal.
    But come in cycles so fish may just be waiting for stable temps and conditions.
