    Default Trying a different attack

I ordered some Z-man chatterbaits to show the crappie this year. I chose the mini & micro sizes. Anybody use them?

I bought a few the other day. The 1/16 were out in most places I looked. I have caught a little bass on one so far.

I've been looking for them and haven't seen one in a store yet. You can order online, but it's hard to find them for regular price that aren't on backorder. You can buy them NOW if you're willing to pay a premium, but I'm not. I don't doubt that they work well when the fish are reasonably active and will chase a bit.

I’ve used them and caught several good crappie. That said, I’ve started making my own for my own use. They work just as well. Parts are available from many places and videos are out there.

I’ve never tried one that small.
I’ve used some of the original ones for bass.
The lighter weight bass chatter baits didn’t “ chatter “ very good if at all.

Give the Zman flashback mini a try they chatter very well. It definitely draws a-lot of attention IMO.

The ones I’ve made will shake a rod tip like a Pico crankbait! They can be heard very well along side the boat.
