Howdy Texas Partner "PigPicker". The weather for this week is below. I'll mosey on down to try a new lake for ya & give ya a report if they are handing out Quality Texas Limitz. Quality to me is 12inch Crappie or bigger smashed 25 Texas Times. I say I take 15 or more. Somebody Hold My "Non Alcoholic Beer"...

I like how you think. Take on the challenge of fishing a new lake is a exciting way to fish. I'm thinking of hitting up Lake Palestine since I have not fished it for 30 years. Just need the weather to be stable a few days so the water can clear up. I will say this, I can't wait for Lake Bois D'arc to open. That lake has more timber than the Amazon forrest , I will likely have to take the two man and try that Vietnam style fishing.

@Grain man Palestine is FULL OF QUALITY CRAPPIE. If it were not 2 hours from me I'd go to it before going to Fork. It' a great fishery. I really like Lakes within 1hour & 30minutes away as I live on Lake Ray Hubbard & am 16 minutes from Lake Lavon. The Fishery for Ray Hubbard is just mediocre for Crappie but I know where to find them. Something about East Tx Lakes that just GROW GIGANTIC REPETIVE CRAPPIE TO KEEP YOU ADDICTED TO THE THUMP.. I know 1 thing.. I better catch 7 Crappie.. Navarro Mills Report coming this week Gulp....

Thanks Ketchn . I find it so fun to tell people where I'm going to fish so the know ahead of time so I can get my trash talking from calling it before it happened or bashing from not producing after. Makes it fun to me. REAL MEN LIVE FOR PRESSURE!!!!

I really wish I could figure out Ray Hubbard. It's 8 minutes from my front door. They keep removing boat ramps and I refused to pay $25 to launch. I like fishing Lavon and Tawakoni and I consider them my home lakes. I really need to learn Richland Chambers and Cedar Creek. I feel the same way about Joe Pool as I do Ray Hubbard. It's a great crappie lake if you like catching 9.5 inch crappie or what I like calling Joe Pool specials. I need confidence to fish a lake and I have zero at Hubbard and Joe Pool. Heck I would feel better fishing Bachman lake than those two lakes.

@Grainraiser When I type the Emoji for Laughing I'M LITERALLY LAUGHING!!! OMG I NEEDED THAT LAUGH... I feel your struggle. I learned Ole Ray Hubbard but I don't share the years I spent banging my head to self discover those secrets. Man heck we are virtually neighbors then. Do you have Forward Facing Technology like LiveScope where you know how to pitch or drop on target? If you are seasoned with knowing how to do that & have your own boat or are seasoned to do it but don't have your own boat I say we go out to Ole Palestine to smash them this year. You got your own boat setup?

For what it's worth. I caught 7 2lb Crappie off Bachman Lake in my 2 Man boat when a FaceBook Hater said he was going to meet me out at a lake 2 hours away & stood me up. I had the 2 man on the truck & at 2pm I said I'm going to another small lake I never had fished but wanted to try. That was Bachman Lake in 11-24-2019! Pre-LiveScope just an Ole Country Boy datz been catching fish before he could read. Here is the video. I caught the Catfish off the Bogus lake the Facebook user sent me to & that sucker slimed all over my darn Crappie. LOOK AT THE BACKS ON THESE BACHMAN LAKE CRAPPIE PRE-LIVESCOPE! Bachman got some toads. I always wanted to sneak out in the middle of the night and sink some brushpiles at the base of those runway lights. Years ago I had a picture of some 14 year old kids with a stringer of 9 large mouths. The smallest was 4lbs and the largest 7.8lbs. They could barely hold up the stringer. They got some monster crappie in that lake also. I really need to hit it up and night and scan that lake.
