I dead stick a jig most of time here . I have caught them on several area lakes for years and never worried much about color .

Interesting, dead stick fishing is the hardest presentation for me to teach. Best wintertime tactic for us. Most have to move the jig. Once the water warms in the rivers here dead stick looses its effectiveness. A periodic slow lift & quick drop really increases the hookups.
