That’s a HAWG!
been hitting em everyday at lunch , lost this huge girl fish two times a week ago in one particular spot .....
yesterday I pitched my jig in said location not really thinking she might still be hanging around in that area .....but ya just never know .....right ....
this time all went well and she came to hand , pretty sure she is the fish that got away the other 2 times ....
at 4 inches across the back and 16 plus inches long I have no clue what she weighed , but to be sure she was/is in prime condition .
what a jim dandy crappie for these parts , my bud saw the image of her and said for sure the new lake record and I said quite possibly so , but then again she got let go after a pic or 2 ....
truly a whale fish for these parts no doubt , likely at least 2.5 , might have been upper 2 range , very very heavy in hand without any doubt ...
and yes ,,,,less stress and, more ketchn is a good thing ....
KABOOM is for sure the word the third time around the block .....
cold wet and misting rain and no jacket with me ,,,,silly boy....
some other nice sized fish in the 13 to 15 inch range involved as well , but boy howdy she made them all look like so so ....

That's one fat and healthy fish, definitely qualifies as a slab. Easily 2.5 and could be a 3#er. Never know unless you weigh her. Cool she is still out there swimming and soon making more baby crappie.
