Default FIRST PITCH ! and second pitch too .....

So here is one for the books , prolly remember said short water girl fish for a long time .
she was on a nest with a boy fish inside a fallen tree by the bank , I was perched up on a concrete retainer wall . I sent my jig and float from on high right in the spot on the photo FIRST pitch and the float went down FAST !
Of course you can't really man handle a girl fish the size of her on a short stiff rod , but then again it is really fun to try .....
She went instant bananas on the hook set as you can imagine and took off like a bullet right off into all the branches towards deeper water , made a super mess out of things and me is saying things to myself like %@&% and #*&@ ....my jig and float likely gone this time .....
but she stayed on in that mess !
we had us a tug a war time for a long while and I kept pressure then slack then pressure then slack and we wrestled for what seemed like an eternity , she came to the surface twice and my eyes were like big as saucers ....
man she was a nice fish ....was being the keyword
kept thinking something will pop any second, the jig will come out , or the line will break or the float will cut the line off or some other sort of tragic ending ....
well after what seemed like forever back and forth she made the fatal mistake of trying to run back towards the bank out of said tree....
lil ole me ain't been in said rodeo events very often as you might have imagined , but to be dang sure me had me an instant plan when she raced out of said mess .....
used her momentum to keep her going towards me and got her to the wall by a pipe at my feet , she tried to wrap on the pipe as well but I kept her off it ....she finally tired and I lifted her up ever so gently ....
a few images and in the box she went !
well lil ole me knew full well she had her a mate on said nest and thought , it's been a minute or 3 and he likely blew right out of there , BUT also knowing he would not give up a spot like that for very long .....
mister me put said jig back in the exact same spot and sure enough KABOOM the boy fish is next , bad day for him for sure , I done whipped his big bottomed girl friend and he was a bit smaller and me ketched him right off guard and after a quick fight he went to their new apartment to be with her again .....
    good stuff no doubt .....
not just a fish story either ,,,just saying
now before you go and think I dropped that there float and jig vertically , that was NOT the case, the jig and float are side armed under the branches very delicate like or you aint NEVER gunna get said fish out of said locations ...
and yes I bring the KABOOM for sure .....
