Never used em but have known about them for a good while. It would make prep easier and less messy.
Known about them for a long time, but never have seen one in use.
We have threads about them from back in 2005 & 2009

You cut off the heads and slit the belly and throw them into the basket. Once your boat is on plane you carefully let the basket out the back of your boat. My rope is about 25'. Once deployed you pull the basket 400-500 yards (less distance than that for just a few fish in the basket) and when you stop and pull in your basket the fish are cleaned and ready for the ice chest. With the basket there's no more scaling them at home after a day's fishing trip. All that is needed before cooking is rinse off the lake water and batter them up for the grease.
When my wife bought me the first basket it cost $25 back some 40 years ago but now the price is up to near $100.

I wish I had one on those 100 bluegill catch days.
I learned how to filet fish when I was 12 ( about 60 years back)
I don't think I have scaled a fish since.
