I'm so happy to see so many with Progressive. I have Progressive thru USAA and I didn't try to over value my boat just what I would sell it for. The declared value policy gives me some comfort since that boat lives on Ross Barnett I wanted some Liability coverage too.

I have Farm Bureau and have a good friend as my agent . He checks mine annually to see that it is still the best bang for the buck . According to him each company will adjust cost / lost ratios and you may get a better deal . For instance if you have a Rv, 4, wheeler , boat, trailer, etc. . they must stay competitive . They have a drop in profit due to other companies underselling they adjust . If they lose a bunch of claims on stolen boats in your area you policy will be effected .To give a better example I was trying to insure a boat that stays in my garage in New Albany may be cheaper than in storage in Grenada because way more claims in Grenada than Union County . That is why many over pay because they think it is a good plan when they took it but next year electronics may be 30 % cheaper and save you money . Therefore if enough over pay (they want call you ) they can increase sales by lowering say tractor insurance . It is truly as my dad said ' "its a racket " . Call cable company and tell them you want to cancel 90% of the time they will lower you bill to keep you , but will raise it a little every so often to get it back up . same deal . I will say the reason I left progressive was because they have a faster depreciation
(YOUR AREA MAY BE DIFFERENT ) rate to off set loses if you don't stay on top of changes . Many never compare policy unless price changes . Some times its like limits of tackle lost / damaged coverage may drop to not raise your rates . Progressive is fine "if " you call and see if their policy today is cheaper than it was when you got it . Many times cheaper to drop and reup . The amount any company spends on advertisement cost money stockholders lose (not the company ). All have angles . I am not bashing any company . they all are there to make money , yes farm burau as well . You are way more likely to get bitten by a dog that sneaks up on you that barks and snaps teeth . lol
