Wink Any Lake Bob Sandlin Safe Navigation Advice???

Great afternoon all. Thinking of hitting a new Lake that I've never fished before to see if I can catch the dreaded & difficult 7 Crappie Limit... Sorry I couldn't help myself. I don't think it's going to be easy as the last 2 days has taken stable conditions & changed them with this Cold Front. (Nugget..In case you guys that fished today or yesterday didn't smack them like you did last weekend keep in mind the Crappie that moved in Shallow are normally will push back out to deeper water after a Cold Snap for more stable water & will more than likely suspend. (I really didn't want to drop that nugget until after I saw how the people who smashed them last Sunday faired tomorrow talking about the SPAWN IS ON.)

Any who.... Anybody able to take this pic & tell me WHERE AT LEAST NOT TO RUN SO I CAN SAFELY NAVIGATE THIS LAKE?

(I'M GOING TO FIND AT LEAST 7 REGARDLESS.. . Just like Old Times I'm easily willing to take a Limit Wager also )

you can run down the center of the lake from the railroad bridge to the hwy.21 bridge without a problem, just stay about in the middle. from the railroad bridge to the dam is open. past the hwy 21 bridge, stay in the middle and head for the point about 1/2 mile west. dont cut corners as their are still big stumps under water. crappie fishing is pretty good there, and texas parks and wildlife have added structures that hold crappie that are listed on their website for that lake. should find seven without much trouble.
black and chartreuse with pink head should do it for you.

Glad you found some. How about more details? Depth, bait? Things like that. Oh, and if seven turn into 75 then maybe I need some, as I am too old n' slow to go anymore.

Mr. OldNSlow, I don't over complicate things especially Crappie Fishing. Heck people like "Ketchn" are Fishermen while me on the other hand I'm a "Dot Chaser". Find Dot the Hammer.
    Answering your questions:
    1. Bait = Hand-tied & plastics. I kept changing.
    2. Depth = 19ft - 28ft I never saw any depth under that except leaving & entering the Boat Ramp. I fish Crappie year round 8ft or deeper.
    3. I caught the Males mainly in stationary spots while the Females that were mainly bigger roaming. about.
Quite honestly OldNSlow I don't really know how much I know about fishing until in the moment. I'm so spoiled on Forward Facing Technology now that I just go to an area drop the transducer look for Dots, drop a lure, make the fish react, set the hook, decide to eat it or let it go. Then REPEAT..
