Good job on Ketchn and good job on releasing to those who love to eat em. That’s what I enjoy about giving to those who struggle to ketch.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Know the feeling Outlaw. Last deer season there was a dock near a camping area and when I would stroll onto it usually quite a few fellas who had a couple in their buckets but not many. When I got there couple would say, Ketchn time was here and purely luckily I did proceed to Kaboom and had my bucket filled quickly. As the guys were admiring my ketch I said ok who needs fish and gave them all a few each. Had plenty back at the cabin to feed my crew and then proceeded to show those who wanted to know how to getrdone.

even converted a guy and hi son who has been coming for years camping and hunting there who I always supplied fish to but now took the time to learn how to do it himself. Now he wants to come up just to fish. After I went home he was even sending me pics of the big ones he was ketchn. That's a really good feeling. BTW had to give them jigs as they didn't have anything but poles and regular hooks. As I always have a lot it wasn't a problem.

BTW in my case it was using the Trout magnet in orange/chartreuse that was the magic ticket.

We have a Pattel owned bait/gas shop right on my path. 5 dozen equals 5$. And with a hand full of groceries on the counter and couple of drinks they will throw in a bag of ice for free. They stay busy to say the least. Warm fuzzy feeling does come with adding to a good fish meal. And a warmer feeling to sharpen a skill to help them next time.

I was cleaning a good mess of nice crappie yesterday at the cleaning station and an elderly gentleman was cleaning 4 or 5 small crappie. He said he and his wife were hoping to have a crappie dinner but he guessed they were going to have chicken instead. As I was bagging my fillets I took as big a handful as I could grab and dropped them in his bowl. He really appreciated it.
Last year 3 ladies were camping trying to catch enough fish to have a family fish fry at the end of the week. They only had 7 or 8 small crappie as their boat motor had quit on them. After I had cleaned and bagged my fillets I walked around the table and set the whole bag of fillets with their catch. I said “Now y’all have enough for your fish fry!” They were beyond thankful. I really enjoy helping folks with fish.

the surprised looks and priceless smiles are worth every penny of the cost to ketch some fish, this is a fact ....
keep a few for me sometimes , release most back to the drink and then ....
when someone wants fish for dinner , I give them up ....
way back when about 40 years ago , I started donating fish to a fella that worked with me .
An asian person he was , a refugee from the nam war ,,,,he and his wife ran when it went down ....
she landed in the Philippines and he landed here , took him forever to get her to the states ...
when she got here , she told him to give me egg rolls as a trade ......
to date I ain't never tasted a better egg roll ....silver lining giveaway clause for sure
