I caught a tagged crappie years ago but it was from the Crappiethon they use to run in Texas. The tag was two years old so no prize money for me. I did measure the fish and called it in. This was at Lake Lewisville near Dallas.

Yeah, GR ... my buddy "onready" and I caught two tagged Crappie at Weiss, back a couple of decades ago. The tags were also "out of date". We gave the tags to the person we were staying with to have him check & see what they would have been worth. All he would say is ..... "you don't want to know" (so we guessed that they probably were some of the more high $$ tags)
