    Default DONE WITH...

After over 40 years of fishing with BnM Poles I hate to say I'm done with them. Was looking for a tip for a 14' Diamond Series rod and no one anywhere has them. Contacted BnM and they gave me a item number to look up on their website. They had it and I added it to cart and went to check out and the shipping was 30 dollars on a 30-dollar tip. Well, I may could understand that price since it has to be in a tube and I needed a few more tips so I figured I'd add some more to reduce the shipping cost per item. Problem was every time I added a tip the shipping cost went up another 30 bucks. I contacted them and they said that the shipping cost was correct. I remember not too long ago you could contact them and tell them you had a broken tip and one would be in the mail the next day no questions ask. Mr. Wells needs to realize he is not the only game in town anymore when it comes to crappie rods like he was 20 years ago. But anyway, I have over 30 BNM Rods that will be sold and replaced with the competitions. Really hate that a Mississippi company that I have supported and purchased rods from for so long has turned into what they have.

Yessir, out of stock. Point is what they wanted to charge for shipping then Janice from BNM trying to tell me that it cost 30 dollars a piece to ship them. A quick web search for USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex proves she was lying. I did ask Grizzly and they said shipping was $10.95 for the same order BNM wanted $60 for. But no need to be to upset, lots of other options out there now. Just wanted everyone to be aware of the fine customer service at BnM now. Definitely not what it used to be.

Do they ship to a store where you can pick up? Shipping is usually free that way.

Before doing all that, why not email Jack Wells directly and give him the lowdown on the situation. ( [email protected] )

You can tell him that you're a member here, your long standing connection with BnM products, and what all transpired between you and the Customer Service Rep you spoke with. Do so in a calm & professional way and I believe you might get a totally different outcome.

I have to say, last year a buddy broke the upper section of my 14’ spider rig rod! I contacted BnM and have a tip at my house, before I got home from the trip! Now, bad part, it was broke. Called back and they sent another out, received in a few days, broke again! I watched the USPS guy get it out of the back of his CAR! Called them back, told her ( with pics again ) and they sent another one. This time FedEx in a much stronger tube. I’ll never speak bad about BnM!

Go with what CPappy said. I bet he has some hookups. But that is outrageous. Good luck.

I agree with CrappiePappy, contact the head honcho directly. I have always had excellent service from BnM.

I'll agree with CrappiePappy. I won a BnM rod on here right after it came out. Second trip out it cracked about 4" from tip. I called customer service and Mr. Wells happened to answer. Explained everything, even that I won it on crappie.com. A new one was sent out same day. I say talk to the head honcho, as something don't sound right.

I too have nothing but successful interactions with BnM. Also keep in mind that shipping rates, content insurance and delivery speed have risen dramatically and shippers charge by package dimensions , weight etc.
