The St Croix warranty is reasonable if you have an expensive rod like a Legend Elite Panfish. But on the lower end rods it's has questionable value.
I bought a used St Croix Avid from a guy on Facebook Marketplace. Broke the first time I used it. St Croix replaced it for $60. I didn't have to send in the old rod and they let me pick any Avid or Victory I wanted. The MSRP for the replacement rod was around $200.
For most rod companies, I wouldn't worry about the warranty. Usually the shipping costs couple with the wait aren't worth it. It's just easier and almost cheaper to buy a new rod.
