been past busy

a good long ways lately , seems I just ain't hard on the crappie chase right now .
finding some little ones here and there ,on my less than frequent outings ....
we managed to have an all smile family/ friends visit Sunday to my friends place west of town ,whatever bit was the species we were targeting
saw some crappie coming from short water the other day , might visit there this week, if my spare time allows for sure ....
and yes no matter what ....
KABOOM is still the word

Nice mess of fish, bass is really nice. It's been a hit and miss year for me this year as well.

I am pretty sure that bass he ketched ran close to double digits , we didn't weigh it and it got released , but he let me hold it and my wife and I know it was fair bit larger than one I have mounted that ran close to 8 .....

I know how you're feeling. I just don't fish much this time of year. We both should be kicking off soon, some warm weather is on the horizon.

motivation to go go go is running low low low lately , wife asked me if I was going fishing the other day when she and the kid ran the dog and I said yep , but the spot you want to take me has a BIG FAT ZERO bite going on right now for sure and it is wasting my time ......and after hitting the 4 or 5 spots that produce well , I met up with them and said YEP , NOT A PECK !
a skunk is often the case if you go to a spot you know is not going to produce , I knew full well that spot was going to be a bust , but none the less I rarely pass up a chance to ketch fish ....because especially with crappie , cuz ya just never know....

watching my wife get spanked by bass on her micro light was quite entertaining to say the least . one of them went to the air repeatedly and took drag bigtime and made her about go into lost her mind mode
she thought it was a crappie at first and was pretty far away from me when she hooked it and I thought welp , iffin it is , that is a big one for sure
