Default How often after a couple hours you throw in the towel?

Today it was cold and windy. I started out in areas I usually catch without a peck. Could see a few on livescope but no takers. Moved out deeper around wood and started catching a few . Struggled till winds slowed and warmed up. Never changed jigs just kept searching. I caught over 50 and kept my limit. Had a couple I know stopped and told me they only caught 2 throwbacks . I seldom change jigs but keep searching . Always a few out there if you hunt hard enough . Many say I'm too hard headed to give up. Hear folks say they change jigs till they found a bait they would bite. I say usually you just finally found the fish. Since I started using livescope and Takeum jigs have not had a skunk. Never remember many of those days in years. Too many not willing to search and look places they don't normally fish.

HA !! I have to travel 1.5-2hrs just to get to the lakes I fish, so I'm there most all day whether I'm catchin' or not. If I catch enough to bother cleaning them, fine, and if I don't I'll release the ones I did catch or give them away. I go to "catch" and if it's nothing but dinks, okay, fine. I had fun, I got outdoors, and I did what I came to do.

I go on scouting adventures if they ain't biting. It's a perfect time to find some new brushpiles or spawning areas.

Depends on the conditions. Wet and cold with a stiff wind. I am going home

Ive blanked my last two trips and y’all know that’s out of character for me. Still had a good time and never quit while I was there. It’s not all about fishin. Mostly but not all. Grinding through a tough day can be hard on the attitude but things aren’t always in line for a stellar day. There’s one coming, I can feel it.

If & When I launch a boat I expect to catch fish. I know exactly where to go, when to fish, and what to use. Using a formula hammered out by paying very close attention to my situational awareness of when & why I did or didn't catch in the past was critical to fish from a plan as I do today. I was just sending a text to another CDC member yesterday informing him where to fish this week. I know I will catch fish and have a strong educated guess of what will produce the majority of keepers. There is always a plan B packed in the boat though, don't go fishing without presentation options as well as size & profile choices as well.

Depends on lots of things for me , available time frame , locations available in said time frame and weather conditions and etc.
Struggling to get bit yesterday made my one hour 4 to 5 turn into a till dark trying episode, they never got really busy though and probably should have moved , but being highly determined to ketch sometimes makes me hunker down and get all serious to make them bite .
Wife insisted our jigs were too small and went with a big jig ,and she really enjoyed the bass that were enjoying her big jig
