    Default Speaking of spring

My boat has gull wing hatch covers on the front deck. To be honest they are a great idea to maximize storage. But, on the water they are a pain to retrieve gear out of as they were not designed to stay open and slam shut with the slightest boat movement. Usually on my noggin....I saw a post from somebody who had purchased these springs to hold their hatches open.

Couldn't find the post to thank them, but what an easy solution. Simple to install and use so I thought I would re share.
Looking forward to spring, can't get here soon enough!

These should be standard on every boat hatch.

Can't wait until open water so we can test them. By the way, I took a drive today. Typical Michigan, lakes covered with ice that isn't safe to walk on but too thick to use a boat. Hopefully the next few days of 60's and wind will take care of that.
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

Thanks M R Dux for the information on the springs. That's why I enjoy this site so much. Folks are willing to share knowledge and ideas just to be helpful....
