I would really like to get forward facing sonar, but don't really want to shell out that kinda money and have to learn the settings on a new unit. I have seen lots of videos of garmin livescope, i know it's a very nice product, but i also love my Helix's.
This is the route I took. I’ve been extremely pleased with my mega live. I catch as many as the livescopers.

Sorry, I just saw this post. I just received my new Mega Live transducer from Humminbird. When I went to the latest updates, my trolling motor interference made it almost unusable when TM was running. I knew they were correcting this by replacing the transducers. I had to jump thru their hoops but the lady I dealt with at Humminbird was awesome.

Rickie will be reinstalling mine in the next day or so. I will say I’m very happy that Humminbird stepped up and realized they had an issue with the very early units like mine and corrected it. That had to be an expensive hit!

As Humminbird continues to provide new updates, the Mega Live gets closer to Garmin LVS34. For me the Helix units and Target Lock make my Mega Live more useful than my LVS34.

Does someone offer a 360 degree setup? I thought there was one - that would be the way to go.

I have a Live Scope 34 and like it, just feel the narrow band sometimes. I did the $3k out of the bank for the complete setup. Use it for crappie and saltwater stuff.

If it would have been cheaper for me to do i'd have went with megalive because i,ve never saw a single issue with my buddys when in his boat. His screen is always clear & has great imagery. That's the thing i don't like about the lvs-32 but the lvs-34 is awlsome.
