That very well may be true. My sonar is an older unit and I only use it for mapping and 2D sonar on the bow, though I think it does have downscan as well. Since I'm adding a new unit specifically for Active Target, I don't really need it for anything else. Good catch though and I didn't wish to give bad info.

I run an Ultrex with my built in transducer hooked up to all my Garmin screens. It only required an adapter cord which was about $20.

    Bon Temps!!

Can you mark waypoints on your Garmins & then track to them with you Utrex.

I have always used my Garmin electronics to mark my way points so I can’t give a definitive answer. My Garmin package came with a 56 transducer. I also have Livescope on the bow. I mark the spots with both when I want my trolling motor to bring me back to a certain spot.
I have marked spots with my Ultrex remote control and let the trolling motor bring me to the spot from quite a long distance however. I’d call Garmin Tech support for the answer to your questions.

    Bon Temps!!

Marking waypoints with a Garmin unit will only work and track with the Garmin Force TM. The 2D Transducer on the MK Ultrex will interface to compatible Garmin graphs using an adapter cable.

Just installed a Force Kracken, with two new Garmin 126 ultras. Just got everything connected and so far I love it,
Due to the long shaft length , the Kracken is not for everyone, but works well on my boat ( 22 ft Center Console).

Be happy to answer any questions

Been running my Kraken since just before Thanksgiving. It is a GREAT trolling motor. Mine is on a Lund Impact.
