    Default ICE - OUT !

Datz rite , ya read it here ....
    It's HAMMER TIME !
as they say .....Can't touch this .......
out of my mind an for sure WAY out of my element I went for it .
Long rods and LS and mind boggling locked jaw fisheez ......
Now would I do it again ya might ask yourself .....probably nope is my answer
Trying to jig that deep and watch a screen and make a jig sit on a fisheez nose at THAT DEPTH range is about way more work than is in my vocabulary ....
And to make it worser it was one of them there winter festival things ....
All the fish in the lake was down amongst them there crappie fish ....
There were no fish to be had in less than around 45 feet of water , the other crappie boat not far from us with LS and live bait and jigs literally got SKUNKED trying to ketch fish in less depth than that , I knew what piles he was hitting and also knew there were no fish to amount to anything in the 25 foot deep range .
Sure enough all that fancy equipment and bait and not a fish one in his box !
So we toughed it out and Ketched fish in China and for darn sure it ain't my box of chocolates , I just really could care less about trying to ketcha super finicky lock jawed crappie that far down there.
Best colors seemed to be lighter shades , never turned a fish on darker colors and found that to be really interesting , typically at that deep we go darker when we go to China to ketch fish
the fish under the shad balls were the less inclined to bite fish and the lone groups with little or no bait above them were slightly likely to take a jig targets , said slightly .....
left with a big ole box of fish , 3 of the 6 hybrids that got in the way and 25 or so mixed crappie , lots of mohawks and regular blacks and some whites to cap it off .....popped a few eyes of them fisheez , but it was NOT my fault ....
I remain blameless in the game as always and >>>
    then this ,,,,,
    KABOOM is the word
p.s. and yes 2 yellow bass got on my jig as well ....

Nice fishes, including the hybrids. Actually, the hybrids taste pretty good. I'd lose my patience trying to fish that deep, unless they were hammering it. Might not be what you're used to but it worked.

Awesome!!! Some good catches and nice box of fish. I believe I know the owner of that fine fishing boat.

Man that deck is larger than my entire boat. Congrats on the fine day on the water. Suppose to be in the 60's next week. It's hammer time for sure.

it was ridiculously difficult to ketch fish that far down , the hook sets just barely touched them fish lips ,even with the sharpest of hooks and the bites were so light you often times never knew you got bit ....
