I just went to both websites and compared the two. For my boat I like the Seelite better because it is a more solid unit. The price difference is less than $20.
Which would you prefer seelite or fishing specialties???

I have seelite on my boat and so does my buddies dad on there boat great system!
I bought a Seelite when they first started selling them and they made some changes but mine still works fine except spring is rusted a bit.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
Another vote for Seelite. Mine works great.

I went with Fishing specialties strictly for ease of stow and deploy. I also know a couple of people that use them and like them.
I have not gotten mine installed yet as it is sitting on my front porch from being delivered today
I also have a fishing specialties pole. Just switched over to the magnetic base for this unit. Very well pleased with set up.
Had the fishing specialities and it worked great!
only reason I no longer have it is I went with the Rite-Hite and love it!
Too blessed to be stressed!
