    Default Cold muddy water

Looks like a lot of us are going to be fishing in it for a while. How do you fish it?

3-5 day's after water stabilizes will be on fire. Open water mouths of the creeks 1-4' deep suspended on points and over the creek channel. Livescope required. Scott

Up here what we try and do is find a bit cleaner water, creek mouths which will clean faster lower ends of oxbows, less windy areas any where the sediments can settle out of the water column faster.

I’ve been waiting for the water on one of our local highland reservoirs to get good & dirty. You can get pretty close to the fish & either make short pitches or if the waters deep enough you can get right over them & vertical jig. Makes for good brush pile fishing along deep bluffs too.

Temps are supposed to drop all week and it's snowing right now. Guess it's supposed to be like this in the winter.

Deer season just closed and the lakes around me are un-fishable right now. Guess it's time to start trimming all around the food plots trying to make 'em a bit bigger and better for next year. I also hunt on a power line that is no longer maintained so if I dont want it to grow out of hand then I need to take care of it now. Being retired.....there's alot of things that can keep me busy until the lakes settle and warms up some.
