Default Well I bought the Livescope

Had Livescope since the LVS 32 came out.
Mixed feelings on whether I’ve caught more since or before.
    Locating fish….check
    Boat control….check
    Bait presentation….check
    Times of frustration….double check
    Useful tool for sure.
Hope you got at least a 12” inch screen.
I am moving up to the 16” inch soon.
Started with a pole, then the Turrett and now on Ultrex shaft.
Have the hummingbird 360 too but don’t use it since Livescope.
    Good luck and have fun.

I used the bracket from an old transom-mount trolling motor. Clamps to the boat and is easy to deploy and adjust. Let me see if I have a pic...

I'm thinking of moving over to a bike-mount permanently mounted. It looks like this:

I bought the mount, but haven't felt like making the change yet.

Yep, there’s plenty of them that’ll just watch your bait go right on by.

Started with the "seelite " system . ok for open water chasing (what most tournament guys do ) how ever in open water most seem to put transducer on trolling motor shaft . I sold mine when the transducer went bad in 6 months . Had a 1222 and found that for me the sideview was plenty to find /catch fish . jmo .

HAHA ... yeah, they will !! Thing is though, they'd have done that anyway & you just wouldn't have known about it without forward facing sonar. And you might even have thought there were no fish in that spot & moved on, leaving other fish that would bite behind.

I've caught fish (Bass) behind tourney anglers that went down a bank & didn't catch anything, probably thinking there weren't any fish on that stretch of bank or if there were they weren't biting what those guys were throwing. Most of the time the latter was the case, as I did catch fish ... and I was using something other than what they were.

On my lake there are times they will not touch a 2 inch bait in the winter. They will let it swim right on by them. Throw a 1.25 bait to them and they will be on it like a duck on a junebug. If nothing else Livescope has taught me that crappie can be very finicky at times.
