My dad hated people trying to see what he caught. He became a master at turning the boat and slipping them in so you couldn’t tell what he pulled in or even if he had one on. He’d put rod tip down in the water.
He even figured out a way to quickly break the spine on a crappie so It wouldn’t flop in his ice chest.

That’s smart. You are prepared and hope you never need to use it. Not much you can do with these guys. Too lazy to figure out things for themselves.

I had a similar experience my last trip out. Made me wonder.... why would someone shadow me . I catch a few at several well known spots in the area. I was fishing a bridge that is well know for producing fish but was there without anyone in the area most of the day... When I decided ti leave a big shiny boat that had been traveling up and down the lake all day pulled into the area I had been fishing. after playing with a school of yellow bass for a while I went to a dock that has produced a few and fished it for a while. As soon as I left to head back to ramp the same boat pulled into the same dock. Personally I thought it was funny. A $50,000 boat following a $1000 rig with a not that experienced old man. . Takes all kinds I guess
Catch all you can when you can!
An old man in his old boat having fun!
FISHING REPORT: ‹Caught two docks, 3 trees and a stump- threw them back!

Fellow I have the same to happen to me over and over again. It’s really bad in South Alabama in the Tensaw Delta. It never seems to amaze me how disrespectful people are these days. But if I notice this happening I generally leave my spot work toward them. Once I get to them I will offer my spot that they seen me on. Not gps location of actual spot. Which turns into a conversation which within a few words I figure them out. Send them to the spot they know I am fishing and tell them they are tons there if you know how to catch them. I follow and end the conversation that I can find them anywhere and real fishermen can do the same. What I witness is they go to my spot don’t catch hardly anything and figure I am just like them and full of crap. Problem solved! However what really grips me, is when they are in a $200k rig, with all the bells and whistles which includes LiveScope and they still to lazy to even learn to use it and the electronics they have purchased.
I call it “pretty boy fishing” but to cheap to pay a guide they still can’t catch fish even with all the bells and whistles. Then if they hunt me down again I will offer guide service get their names. When they call and some will I am booked. It’s fun! Just roll with it.

Us too. With the increase of carjacking at boat ramps and catalytic converter theft both Lil D and I are packing heat.

Having a second set of eyes in your boat would help as you left the scene of the crimes.

Being famous has its down falls.

    Bon Temps!!
