Definitely don't roll over. Insurance is such a scam but still needed. Shame you have to go through this mess to get fair outcome.
He slid squarely into the engine, broke the bar and the boat slid forward. No damage to the engine, I actually continued to Florida and fished for a week.

Well the 4th and last adjuster they hired was a marine adjuster, he's the one who said my $67,000 boat is worth $43,000 now, even though in his report, he list the fair market value as $57,000. I'm not sure if I hire a marine adjuster he's come up with a better number?

While tying in to his dilemma, thought I'd share my solution to this, in the event my boat is totaled. I took out a policy with Progressive with " An Agreed on Price " in the policy language that does not change as long as the policy is in effect. This is different than car insurance or most boat policies that are paid as ACV ( Acutal Cash Value ) meaning what they determine it's worth at the time of loss. With this, the only discussion is whether it's totaled or can be repaired. It's easier to fight this IMHO. To qualify myself I own a Roofing company doing storm restoration work and though I'm not a Public Adjuster I do have one working in my office and arguing with insurance is basicaly what I do for a living. In Arkansas if hit from the rear they are at fault . Don't budge and some insurances will pay . Tell them your neck hurts and do not settle too easy .

I'm familiar with agreed value, after rebuilding a class c motorhome I have I requested it be insured for more than what I payed. Originally a repair estimate form the Marina and manufacture was created, it involved building a 2022'haul then shipping it to the Marina in April (there busy time) to transfer the engine, electronics, seats etc... and there offer would cover the cost of rebuilding but thats it and then id be out of a boat for close to a half year. So now they are totaling the boat and basically offering me the same money. obtw just called the agent....no answer!!
First off if they hired the adjuster I would find one of my own. Here in Wisconsin I could take it anywhere I wanted for adjustment and the work to be done no matter the difference in cost of their adjustment cost. I would take it to a repair shop of my choice and have them do an estimate. You will not get a loaner for your boat ain`t going to happen.

The insurance company has to make you whole. You need to find several boats for sale that are just like yours and show them the list price. If the say the boat is worth $43k make then show you were you can buy a replacement for that cost. Have your comps in hand so you will have something to counter with. Insurance companies play games but it is not that difficult to show replacement cost unless you have a one of a kind boat.
