I wish i had the issue of transporting a 14" rod

I have 8 14ft rods in a Melinium Rod Holder and when I am done fishing or want to move, I am wrapping the line around the rod and clipping the hook in the holder or an eye of the rod. To do this takes a lot of time.
How do others handle the line when transporting their rods without winding the line or breaking down the rods? How to you minimize loose tangled up line after transport?

I run double minnow rigs on 12’ poles and use a millennium transport rack. The best way I have found is to hook the bottom hook in the holder, wrap the top hook and egg sinker around the pole until there is no slack, then hook the top hook into an eyelet or electrical tape I’ve wrapped around the rod. Seems easier to stand the rod straight up and spin the rod while holding the line. Not sure if that help you, but that’s the best way I’ve found.

thats about the same way I am doing it. Was hoping for a better and faster way. With 8 poles it takes nearly a half of and hour just to get ready to go in or move.
I was taught by Jigfisherx to hook the bottom hook in the hook holder, then have enough slack to hook the upper hook in slack line above the eye, then tighten slack, one of those rubberized twist ties will help keep the sinker in place.

Wrapping seems to be the easiest for me, but I don't do it when moving. I have a Cornfield Fishing Gear 4 pole launchpad I use when fishing, they make an 8 pole also.

I have used small 1 inch wide double sided velcro strips put the hook in the appropriate place and place the velcro around the weight areas to keep it from swinging. Works for storage too but use a couple more to keep things tight and tidy.

On 14 ft with double minnow rigs I hook bottom hook in holder and use pony tail holder for top. Just hook the hook in it and stretch it to closest eye. Used to use rubber band but pony tail holders last longer.

Just curious. Are you ice fishing for crappie? I can probably fit several 14" rods in my tackle bag.
