Default Returned to the Scene of the Crime

I got up, made coffee, and put on the weather forecast. When the TV screen came on the weather forecast map was on and colored all Yellow & Green. After seeing what is expected Monday weather wise and knowing today was the last day I had to fish the Pearl before the storms, I decided to text Bon Temps to see if he wanted to go with me for continuing education. He jumped on the reply, we made a plan, and the execution was flawless. Monkeymilk BGBS delivered all day today putting good fish to outright Slabs in the cooler at almost every stop. No Net was used in boating these Slabs. We Swung Everything In! I squirmed when the big fish of the day already airborne, needed more height. As I put more pressure into the rod, to lift the Slab higher than the Gunnel, the rod just bent more. A well set hook was in the roof of the Slabs mouth all but guaranteeing a boated trophy quality river Slab. Fun Times.

Awesome job. Great fish for sure. I swing mine in, and if they get off, they won. Figure it makes it more fair, gives them a small chance. and then there's the ones that get away because they bounced off my dogs nose back into the water. He likes to do that. lol

can't tell you folks how many get a pass from me due to the "lack of swing" .....bounced them off all sorts of stuff myself , lost a real big fish the other day knowing it wouldn't swing on my lil whipper rod and tried to hand line it .....ding dong
we had that eye to eye moment and words were said about how pretty said fish was .....and do you want the net ....nope was me ....I got this .....
and then ....snap.....gone with the wind

Thank you, it's fun to see Bon Temps eyes as these big fish come in. He would pull one up and say "I think that's my biggest fish Ever!" Then, in a few minutes catch another. He is the first newbie that if you instruct him to do something He does it and does not forget. I know the day will come when I won't have "New Experiences" to show but that day is Way Off. Till then, when I know there is something fresh to show, I will send a text to my new friend.
