I've been fishing for bass and catfish for years, but was given a jigging rod as a gift and took it out over the holiday break. It rekindled my first childhood fishing love; catching and fighting big crappie and panfish on a cane pole. The part of bass fishing I dread is organizing and choosing all the tackle, rods, and reels to get the boat ready for a day on the lake. Instead, I set up a 3700 size waterproof case with all my crappie/panfish tackle and just walk the bank around bridges and riprap with two telescopic cane poles and my jigging rod having a blast. However, I haven't found a good way to carry some extra line for the cane poles in the box, as I get line in large spools and only need to have 30 yards or so to re-rig. Got any compact ideas to keep a little line on hand?
