    Default Not Crappie????

    Wife’s favorite.
Caught about 25 but only 3 keepers.
Still a little early with water temp at 42 and 40 ft deep.
To make it fun I used 1/2 ounce football jig with 3/8 ounce barrel weight pegged above and 12 foot jig pole.
    Gave Livescope a rest.

Pretty hard to beat walleye or yellow perch for a meal or a snack.

Oh yeah, a few weeks ago a friend asked if I wasn't to do some Sauger fishing on the Ohio. seeing my boat got crashed back in November I was game. We fished current seems with Mister Twisters on 1oz jig heads along with a stinger hook tipped with a minnow, within 4 hours we went through 75 fish and easily caught our limit, I have to say they are as tasty as Crappie.

    Sauger GONE!!
Wife and Grandaughter scarfed them up as soon as they came out of the iron skillet.
I settled for left over turkey and dressing. Lol
3-14 inch sauger don’t go a long way around here.

If you’re like me it’s good to know they like them and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Plus gives another reason to go fishing again.

Wife tells me to go fishing. Haven’t figured if she like my fish that much or just wanting me out of the house. Lol
I asked her what she is going to do when I’m gone for fish.
She replied “ does Bill Dance have a son”
