    Default Define Slab please

Not the fella , the fish .....
I realize the definition of "slab" "hog" "donkey" "barndoor" "horse" and or even "whale" will vary greatly from water to water and state to state , but in the end ....
let's hear your definition of what is big enough to qualify the use of said term or terms to describe your larger crappie ....
This black crappie and white crappie fall into what I would define as larger than average specimens in these parts ....
and could possibly fall into the "slab" category ....
now quit fooling around and show us them fish you call big ....

I consider any fish over 14 inches a slab. 13-12'' is a goodun and 12-10" is a eater.

They don’t run as big in Da Bayou near my house. Biggest I have landed was 15 “ but that size is rare. Mostly very thick blacks and anything over 9 inches is grease worthy.

A slab here on Bayou Lacombe is 12 inches or bigger.

Unless it’s caught by one of my younger grand daughters then 2 eyes and a few scales qualifies it as a prize catch or a SLAB.

    BON TEMPS !!!

such is the truth , some spots we hit, a fish over 12 inches is a brute , other places if it ain't near 3 they look down on it ....
