    Default A Merry Cristmas INDEED

There are times in our lives that life seems dark and miserable. Work is unbearable and it seems that even our family is against us. If God allows we grow older and the vessel we call our bodies get worn. We can't do what our younger selves once did. Christmas comes and goes, and we feel lost. Lately, I have been in that deep despair. I thank all my friends here for helping me keep going. I thank our blessed Savior for his patience and his helping hand that guides us, even when we may think we are forgotten and alone. This past year I have actually been able to catch more crappie and seen to be learning the things needed to know to be able to catch the elusive creatures.

Now for my Merry Christmas. First I must give my wife the praise she deserves for putting up with me. While this beautiful lady is a very strong willed lady ( a trait I am thankful for), and she can bring a proud man to tears, she is also the most caring wife a man can ever desire. I was given a Christmas bonus which I always give to her for whatever she wants to do with. The first thing she says is, "You need to get some fishing tackle to stock up on. She also said, "I will be busy getting Christmas dinner ready this weekend, you need to go fishing". So it look like I may be fishing Saturday . She even bought me another rod and reel last weekend. It is not new but neither am I. .
We have been working for the past couple years toward my retirement making sure we can have a decent life when it happens. Well, yesterday I was given the opportunity to actually notify my employers of my intention to retire. My last day of "working" is now officially April 15, 2024. I could not wish for a better Christmas present, Well may a to catch a huge Crappie! . So when I brave the cold tomorrow morning, I may not catch a thing, but it will be a beautiful and pleasant day that the Lord has made. So if a skunk is all I get I will thank our God for his blessings. Especially for the gift of his Son that was born in humbleness so that he could be a Savior of all people. I pray that all, both great and small, can learn to see his Love even when we fell alone and forgotten.

I know I have been rambling, but I needed to give God thanks for all his blessings on me. Both seen and unseen. I am wishing ALL the wonderful folk here A Beautiful and VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS God bless everyone.
Catch all you can when you can!
