My Dad passed a few years back, but on his death bed he said out of his three sons I was most like him. He told me that if he could do it all over again he would simply fish because that’s where he was most at peace at. He told me the camps, the deer leases, even the home was all a distraction of totally enjoying life. He died at 84 years of age. He told me to make sure I kept my priorities right. God first, family next and remember when you get on your deathbed you can’t take it with you and will probably end up being a pain in the butt for the ones you love. So I guess buddy I will give the same advice. Pick outside of God and family the one thing you really love and do that for enjoyment. Prayers are with you brother. Me that one thing past the first two, is chasing those crappie. The last thing he said with a smile I love you son and I ain’t taking nothing with me other than y’all’s love and memories.

Ketchn, I too am on board with the stone place. Very good bones and could do well as several things. I was told long ago that if you want to get something done, ask the busy man. He’ll figure out how to get it done. My brother, you’ve just got stuff to do. Along the way, take the time to be you and enjoy what surrounds you. I believe you’ll do just fine. And if it wasn’t so far from my kids and grands, we’d talk about that place.

I certainly prefer to be busy in stead of Idle. I am certain you feel the same way. I volunteered to go shut down the factory, rack out the breakers that need cleared and make sure the power comes back on Christmas Eve evening. Some body has to do it.

That old rock building looks Like it could have been an early filler up and keep on trucking type station, with a pull in garage on the sides. You know with the gas pumps that you actually had to pump a handle to get fuel. Back when the choices were Regular or Ethyl...LOL.

The big side door is a duplicate of one exactly across from it on the opposite wall .
The walls only have one small crack in the back .
It was under a forest of vines for as long as we have seen it .
Someone bought all the surrounding property and is chopping it up for resale.
They cleaned all the .6 acre area smooth and took down all the vines too.
It was likely a one stop shop back in the day before pavement.
Probably sold fuel and feed is my guess.
Was a blacksmith shop at one point.
Was just a storage place for a while
Was a fruit and vegetable store too.
Was also a game room in the 70eez , foosball and pinball thing .
One bumper sticker on the wall I saw was a radio station that was the only rock and roll available on fm radio back when.
In several spots it isn’t just rock , they incorporated some real nice petrified wood into the rock work as well .
Not sure what we will make it into , but it is WAY better than money in the bank or stock market for sure ….
We should close in one week on it ….
    Stay tuned
