Here’s the d I y mount for the head unit & you can see the bench top bicycle repair stand I used for a pvc pole holder. When moving I just stop transmitting swing pole onto deck & lay the head unit mount down. I added a tennis ball as a bounce buster on the tee of the mount & it never budges. I can measure & get a better pic of the pole when I get home from work if needed. It’s 1” pvc inside another piece of 1&1/4” pvc. I added an elbow a a directional indicator to the top of mine so you know which way it’s pointing. Painted pole black & left top of elbow unpainted side it’s easy to see.

I would like to see that if possible. I need some ideas. I'm setting up a new boat. I would like to have a handy solution. I have a Bass Tracker pro 17. I'm moving the front seat closer to the bow. I have better luck when I'm closer to the front.

I'm close to the front sitting in my portable bench seat stand that i mounted two comfortable fishing seats to. I'll try to remember to get measurements for the pole tomorrow if you need it. The bike repair stand you see mounted to the front deck where you see the piece of white pvc rotates 360* & the end mounted to the deck does too which allows it to swing up above the side of the boat & lay on the deck with only the part with the handle/ directional indicator sticking up above the deck where it's in the stand clamp. I've had several want to look at it on the water so evidently somebody else likes it too. Anything else let me know.

I'll get a better pic or video of the mount tomorrow. Was simple to make with a piece of pipe & some left over scrap at work. Another thing you might want to check out on youtube is livescope mounts that folks are making from kids scooters.
