This is a wonderful thing. Thanks for sharing
Three tractor trailer loads of boxes of Wreaths were dropped off at Camp Nelson National Cemetery this morning, in preparation for the annual Laying of the Wreaths on Veteran Graves this Sat.
This is my 5th year helping unload, unbox, and stage the wreaths around the sections of the cemetery. We were blessed with over 14,000 wreaths for this year's ceremony. Sponsor's, corporate & private, buy these wreaths and the tracker trailer truck drivers bring them down (at their own expense) to various cemeteries, to be placed on veteran graves.
Here's a few pics I took of the volunteer crews unboxing & staging the wreaths. Didn't have much time or chance to take more pics, as we were under a time constraint to get them all done before a funeral procession was due to come in.
Truck #3 unloading, prior to heading to Bowling Green & two other places to unload.
Two members of the crew I worked with, finishing up the unboxing.
The crew I worked with, cleaning up after unboxing at one of the sections.
I will be going back on Saturday for the ceremony & wreath laying proceedings, and will take more pics (as time permits).
Thanks for posting this Pappy!

A little something to share on my part.
Stones
Pretty stones in a row one by one
Fathers, mothers, sisters, son
Days of sun, nights of rain
Long forgotten the throes of pain
Their service done, succumbed to fate
Many there soon, some more late
Stones stand there silent, tall
Symbols of lives by those who fall
Fast we go past these forgotten souls
Giving not a thought whose stones are those
Days past more stones do stand
As more souls gather hand in hand
Just take a moment to pause and see
Give some thanks, a tear for these
Remember the stones there one by one,
Fathers, Mothers, Sisters, Sons
Catch all you can when you can!
An old man in his old boat having fun!

Thanks for all of those pics. That last one is really outstanding. Thanks for all that gave up their free time to get this done...and to those that gave up their all for our freedoms.
