Awesome job guys and some good catches.
Well a slow start is the understatement of the day. 46 degree tidal surface water temps relocates the crappie. We continued to move to warmer waters till Jackpot, Bon Temps pulls up the first Crappie and its a keeper. Today was a very good day for explaining why we were not catching or even seeing fish. As we moved to warmer water we saw fish. As we moved to some of my Special Spots we caught fish. BGBS Red Thunder and Jason's Jigs Jason's 2in Stinger Shad (in a custom color I have made) were the bodies of choice. As the water got warmer the fish got higher up. Here are a couple of pictures of the day Bon Temps holding the biggest fish and a cooler shot. The Navy Seal boats buzzed by us so we decided to load up and head in.
We had a great time, got to visit about making Mead when Crappie school was in recess, and returned safely to the dock. Just a great day.

Thanks Rojo for the trip.
LESSONS LEARNED
1) If they aren’t there you can’t catch them
2) Find warmer water find the fish.
3) They group up in deeper water on structure when temps drop and move up as the water warms.
4) Long rod, clear line, smaller jigs, dropped straight down near structure and hold it completely still. The bite is very very soft sometimes so if you feel a little weight on your line set the hook.
Bon Temps!!
