Were they black crappie ? It’s said they spawn about a month before white crappie. I catch them spawning some years in February
I doubt any have spawned already tho.
But You never know.

Yes mostly Blacks but the Whites had eggs too. the Whites were swollen the most. I thought they were just full of Shad. I generally don't start fish The Rez till April Fools. Not that they don't spawn earlier but the Fronts in March make planning a trip to Single Pole difficult.
