My big questions for people who have upgraded are:

    1. Do you think the LVS34 transducer is worth the extra cost? Do you feel it's $1k better than the 32?

    2. Do you think the 93SV UHD2 is worth the extra cost over the regular UHD? Would you say, "Wow, UHD2 is SO much better! I can see stuff the UHD never picked up before!"

    3. What do you think of the 106SV? It's only a little more expensive than the UHD2. Would that be a better step up than the 93SV?

Thanks for posting your thoughts. I'm listening to every reply.
    My opinion :

#1 ... from what I've read, no it's not $1K better (unless you need deeper & farther scanning ability.

#2 ... Unless you have use for the added features of the UHD2 ... no, it's not really worth the extra $$.

#3 ... My buddy upgraded to the 106sv, from the 93sv, in order to be able to see fish that were on the bottom better ... and he's been slightly disappointed in that regard. I've fished with him & haven't noticed any real difference in what the screen shows vs what his previous 93sv unit showed.

Also of note that I noticed when comparing the UHD vs UHD2 is that the UHD2 draws +/- twice the power ( Garmin | Product Compare ) That "may" require a more substantial battery to accommodate the increased power draw.

    Thumbs up

Thanks CrappiePappy, I appreciate your experience with the various products!

Interesting is the fact that the 93SV UHD2 is actually a couple hundred bucks more expensive than the 106SV. I need to pull up the specs to see if it's actually a better unit.
