I'm thinking it should be more like 10k. Am I wrong? Not sure if this link will work or not.

You do realize that it's his to price as he sees fit don't you? If somebody called me to tell me something i had was to high i'd probably tell them something they didn't really want to hear right before i hung up on them. All joking aside if he is to high he'll figure it out before long because anything is only worth what you can get out of it & the way the market has slowed down there's going to be a bunch of boats sitting until the price is dropped to adjust for a bad market. May be time for me to step up to a newer rig before to long.

the price of something and or it's "actual" value was taught to me at a VERY early age by my dad .....
Something is actually ONLY worth what someone is willing to pay for it ,,,,,food for thought .....
my thought on it not knowing much about the dynamics, is he is high on purpose to get what he thinks it is worth ....
start low end low syndrome, and in the end ,EVERYTHING is priced like it's plated in platinum these days ....
we saw a new truck the other day that was pretty nice ....not super ridiculous nice , but nice ....
it was a brand neither of us would pay much for anyway , but nonetheless .....
A PRETTY ok 4x4 american made for 109,000 greenbacks ...? holy heck batman ....
    just WOW ....

Do you know how many redneck boats and pickups I could buy for that money? Wife and I passed a dealer with a USED ford out front with an 88,000 price on the windshield. She almost had a medical emergency.

It's a beauty for sure. I wonder what it cost new in 2007? However prices are inflated all over because the dollar bill has lost it's value. .
I'd show him what $12,000.00 looks like, and if he turns it down, you need to move on brother. It's his boat and your money.

I have Ketchn's quote "Something is actually ONLY worth what someone is willing to pay for it " taped to the inside of my wallet.
Helps refresh my memory when I go to buy something.
Many items have three prices. What you want to sell if for, what you want to buy if for and what it's going to change hands for.
If it's like other products now, the build quality may be better for a 2007 VS 2023-4.
Info that would benefit you would be why is it for sale? Buying new, wife says were not storing this for another winter if your not using it, going to 'flip" it for a quick buck etc.
Does this boat meet your needs? What else is available at this price? Ultimately what's it worth to YOU, as your name will be on the check?
Good luck with your decision. A safe and enjoyable holiday to you and your family.

PS Saw this happen. Friend figures he can squeeze a few more bucs out of a seller, when another buyer shows up, recognizes the value and poof it's gone.

If you're really in the market here is something to think about. The three things that has had sales plummet? ATV, RV's, & Boats. If you pass on this one in a few months there will be more for sale. Foreclosure rates are rising at such a alarming rate banks are paying wrecker / retriever companies bonuses for picking up their delinquencies first. Not enough wreckers for all the work repossessing delinquencies.

I spend a lot of time looking at used boats on FB Marketplace. In my area, almost every boat is listed about 20% above real value. The JD Power site shows high and low RETAIL prices like at a dealer. Private individual should be lower by a bit. Unless this boat is a necessity or your dream boat, keep looking if he can't meet what you want to pay.

That is a lot to pay for 16 year old pretty paint and dated electronics I am sure you can do much better price wise.
