They came like they always do , all federally protected and ready to strike deep into the heart of our local community.
They had the dates set on their calendars and there they are , lined up in a military style formation .
They planned on eating all the fish before the 2 legged local anglers could enjoy them .
Their plan was simple , just ketch all the fish before the humans do .
They want to destroy flyfest and many children's hearts by eliminating the fish put in the waters just for winter recreation.
Do I hate these birds you might ask , well hate is a strong word , but to be sure , they are on my list of as soon as the government realizes the waste of money involved and allows us to control the numbers ......KABOOMING will commence ....
Too bad the state decided to release all them fine rainbow trout well after November like they have for many years ....
Wonder if the state is trying to counter the offensive is me ....move the date , confuse the birds ?
No clue , but to be very sure , it will put extra pressure on the local crappie if them birds don't get to eat all them thousands of rainbow trout like they always do .....

Maybe they should quit stocking every year? If that easy food isn't always there they might change their arrival dates and locations.

Definitely have some fish eating machines there. One year while fishing in California with Sonny they stocked trout at Perris and I watched them chasing rainbows all over the place. It's amazing how fast they can swim underwater. Didn't see any trout caught by them but probably would have if I had watched longer. Here we get stockings sometime after November 1st, once the water is cold enough. Big bass like trout, too. Caught a 9 1/2 lb. bass five years ago and saw a trout tail when I looked down into it's mouth. Bass was super fat, probably not the only trout it ate. Between us, the birds and other fish those poor trout don't have a chance.

its pretty amazing to see them flock up so fast in some spots , not sure of the can smell fish or what , but they are often right behind the stocking trucks .

If that is how you managed to eat. If would be wise to know where the easy pickings are

Those things are killers. Not sure why they are protected. A couple years ago at Whitney they were migrating or something- literally thousands were by the Nolan entrance! I’m excited for some trout stocking out my way. That will be first time I try to fish after my surgery.
