sometimes you gotta do what you know is right Outlaw.

They do stock urban locations here in MO but never seen those pests around. WE are the ones who listen to the trout hotline and then get after them as soon as the trucks leave.

I read article years ago about how huge the bass get feeding on the trout that are stocked in those deep lakes in Socal.

I have a park near 3 minutes from my front door and every year they stock it with trout during the winter. Those water turkey timing is better than a Rolex. They take 90% of the rainbows that are released. They are very efficient eating machines. I put them in the same category as roaches and rats.

cormorants are just natures water coyotes , they are quick learners and take advantage of the abundance of fish in any situation there are numbers of fish available , it is said they come here from the coast , not sure is me , but boy howdy are they a scourge on the fish .
sure enough don't care for them is me , saw a sandbass with a strike on it the other day , they will eat any fish available, best I can tell.

they are amazing fish predators under water sir , likely as fast and agile as an otter for sure , really bad news if you are fish ....
AND way smart too , seen one hunting the shore rip rap during the spawn and it was on the surface as it snuck along the bank in real short water , with it's head in the water like a reverse periscope , side imaging at its best no doubt

Saw a lone wolf cormorant going after the trout the other day. He was deadly fast and held his breath like a world record free diver.
