Does color actually matter ?

I absolutely believe color matters. I also believe a crappie nibble is more a visual thing in clear water which is why I only use pink or chartreuse colors.

Same here. I have had a good amount of luck using pink crappie nibbles, and I suspect it is partly due to visibility.

So far for whatever reason I haven’t caught one with it but have caught plenty with nibbles.

everything matters with crappie ketchn and then ....nothing matters , unpredictable rascals sometimes

Actually, it’s the scent trail it leaves as it’s dissolving in the water. Hold it just below the surface and you’ll see what I mean.
