I made a diy mount that sits my 93 sv face level when sitting in the wise brand seat bench i use at the bow when crappie fishing.

In a boat I rigged, I used an aluminum pedestal seat base I had laying around to make a nice, stable mount for a 93SV. Super-solid, free, and there was really nothing to make, besides screwing a piece of cutting board on top:

It's what I had laying around, but I would consider making one from a typical Swivl-EZE seat base. It would still be sturdy, but could be taken in and out and has adjustable height for standing or sitting. Like this one:

if you ain't a pro or wanna be pro....lol , you can run a decent LS unit for around 1500 or so , might even find a deal on a used one ....
beyond all the bla bla bla bla bla bla , you do not need special EVERYTHING to run one , you can make your own pole easily
and any decent trolling motor could be used ....
of course there are some really large screens and integrated systems that are nice , but in the end the average crappie chasers do not really have to drop the dime on the fancy high end versions for sure ...
heck by the time its over you might have more in the ridiculous arsenal of long rods you buy than the LS

in my older age, i prefer bigger screens, lots easier for me to see/adjust everything without the need to pull down the reading glasses. i run my livescope on a 1222 GPSMaps, i spider rig the majority of the time and to me, the larger screens are just easier on the eyes and quicker to glance and see what's going on without having to stare at the screen.
