Default 11/21/2023 Louisiana Funky River Grandson and Me

Grandson Austin out of school this week so we went fishing. Caught a nice mess of fish. Threw back several small sacalait. Kept 13 sacalait over 9 inches, a bass, a striper, and his first flat head cat. Great day on the water.

    Bon Temps!!

Awesome job. That boy is hooked on fishing! I’m sure that won’t be his last flathead catfish. Priceless memories.

I think you made the right choice to go West. We didn't get enough rain to blow anything up here local or affect our saltwater problem.

West was best but the window was very small. Until the gusts turned from South to a strong north wind there was little tidal movement and they had lock jaw. After the tide started falling to fast about 45 minutes later they went into survival mode and stuck very close to structure so they would not be swept out to the salty Lake P. However during that window it was on . Fast and furious nonstop action.
