We have 10 inches of rain forecast for the next week. I do not think Saltwater will be a problem after that. But it will change the river to the point what I just figured out will be Null by then. Rolled 28 Tacos more into the cooler in a couple of hours this morning.



I didn't bring ice so I had to come back in..........forced to leave them biting is OK, I don't want any more to clean.

Picturing you tasting the water for salt brings a good old joke to mind. Did you ever hear about the old sailor who back in the day, could taste the sediment stuck to the sounding weight and tell you EXACTLY where you were - kind of early gps. Ever hear that one?

Ok then. This old sailor, retrieving the weight after it hit bottom, could stick his tongue to it and bark out the exact position of the ship. Watching this, two younger sailors decided to prank him. Next time in port, they picked up a quantity of chicken manure from a yard they walked by, and first chance they rubbed it all over the weight without the old man’s notice. The next time he picked it up and cast it out, pulled it in - instead of shouting depth and location like normal - he quietly sat down and started loading his pipe, lit it and sat staring off into the distance. After awhile the youngsters couldn’t stand it any longer, so they walked up and asked if something was wrong.
Old man says, boys, Nantucket has SUNK! We’re right over old woman Smith’s chicken yard!

And that’s why I have to make metal chips for $, never made it in comedy

I like the joke but I worked 13 years in the Oilfield so we will laugh at just about anything after 28 days.
