    Default Heads up

If you are just stumbling around off the bank or the dock , keep this in mind about that .
Everything is in the fall feed up pattern right now , been finding lot's of undesirables this last week .
bass and drum are really tuned up to thump HARD and not sure what I hooked the other day , but .....
it bought jerked me out of my socks when I set the hook and even though my drag is set really light ....
it never EVEN got a chance to do it's thing ....AND lost my pretty gold plated jighead too ....darnit ...
just a heads up .....beatings are out there and it might not be you doing the beating ....

Little forestry service lake where I first fell in love with crappie fishing had hybrid stripes, some 15 lb or more. Only thing I ever experienced that can hit like that. Leave you white knuckled on your rod with broke line in the breeze, in about .0001 second.
There were quite a few old guys who jigged with mono on single action fly reels, talked to one at the boat ramp with bloody knuckles. He wasn’t aiming for that trash fish to steal all his line. But it showed him who was boss Heads up

That would stick having all the line stolen from reel.... haha. I could only imagine what you would be thinking as it happened.

I read this on my phone on the way out and told myself I would check it when back on the laptop. Well I experienced it for hours this afternoon. As I posted in my post just now the feeding up fish fly off the hook easy too. landing all around the boat as well as in the boat.

been in a boat with 3 fellas one day up in short water , guy between the capt. and myself in the middle of the boat set the hook and his reel just began to SCREAM ...
I had time to say where is the net as the capt. said ain't got one and about a half second or so later .....KABOOM when the guy ran out of line on his reel....
me and the capt. laughed so hard we cried ,,,,,the guy in the middle of the boat DID NOT see the humor in it at all ......
