Default 54 came to hand and .....

52 were over the 10 inch mark easily !.....
and around 10 er so were from assorted spots .....
and around 40 plus a few from ONE EXACT SPOT !
now in this mix there are things you need to know to emulate such an outing .
1 >>>> EVEN though the one spot was just stupid on fire , no crappie nibble, NO BITE !
2 >>>> ANY deviation from the first presentation in that EXACT lil spot was a NO GO !
3 >>>> STAY on em till they quit !
4 >>>> you might consider wearing your old crappie.com hat , it might be a lucky one ......
now mind you this about that , I stayed longer than typical because I can and may if I want to .....
the first 40 minutes or so was just so so ....
the last 40 or so were just about as good as it can possibly be ....
it made a spring run seem slow I tell ya and to be very sure it had me wondering just how many were under me in that EXACT location .
7 foot of water and 6 foot down and still as you can hold it was the ticket , the thumps were serious and the fish were as well , man did they struggle to not get ketched when you set the hook .....
I have an actual boat ride soon to go look for them at another spot and hunt them down in true crappie chaser fashion , but until then, sure made me smile a big smile hammering the fire out of them ....
used a big long bait and they were inhaling it well , kinda chart looking clear with sparkles on a gold plated jig head ,
it for sure dont get much better yawl ....
    KABOOM is the word btw

p.s. I used some of them platinum silver sparkles crappie nibbles because they were on clearance and yes it had folks asking EXACTLY what I did on my long lunch break
and my wife asking EXACTLY me how I got lil silver sparkles all over me too !

WOW Outlaw those are some slabs fo sure. Isn't it amazing that the dock bank dudes are tearing them up at this time? When you can sit in one or two spots and just rip so many lips it is so epic. I plan on hitting a spot just like that this weekend where the boat lift poles are at and hear from my buddy that they are on fire at my other home lake.

That's what was happening to me on that cold nasty morning couple days ago. Hated to leave but my fingers were froze and couldn't tie a knot anymore plus needed to get my limit and head for home.

Had a similar pattern go down to just off the bottom and then keep it still and KABOOM it was on time after time.

    WTG U da Man!

Course we have the advantage of simply walking onto the dock and dipping without the hassle of putting a boat in the water or worrying about the weather.

THIS ,,,,I walk up with my line already measured out for the depth I think they are holding on whatever dock and have a full expectation of slinging a slab FIRST drop ....just saying

More slabs in the pictures than I've caught all year. Really like the gold and nickel plated heads, certainly brighter and flashier than normal jigs. Haven't used them in awhile but maybe I need to. It certainly was the right choice for you.
