Seaguar is my choice. I question the line shy theory at times with Crappie Les. I use a Fluoro leader myself but it's due to sound not visibility. I'm primary Braid with an 18 inch or less Fluoro leader. "If Crappie feed up & are looking at a good presented bait how do they see the line?" Seems to me if that were true then none of us would catch Crappie that use our Lead Weights 6 inches above the lure. MY Regardless.. Gooe Gettum Les you have a lot of pressure on you being a "Young"
Always used Berkley Vanish (down to 2lb. test) and never had a problem or reason to switch. Readily available and holds loop knots well. Also sinks a little faster than mono.
Les, K9 flouro clear has been my newest change from Berkley Vanish. The K9 has no memory and limp which translate to no line twist or wrapped tips on the rod. It’s not as abrasive resistance as the Vanish but well worth the change.

Sunline floro is the best I have used. Easy casting low memory and good with knots.
