Good article. It definitely makes one think outside the box.
I was pulling Reef Runner Cicada blade baits today looking for crappie on the Falls Lake. I was way up in the shallow end of the lake, a long way from any deep water and couldn't get any crappie to cooperate. Luckily, the White Bass were willing to play. That Cicada gives the most vibration at the slowest speed. Most fish were caught at the edges of the channel & there were clouds of shad in the channels.. Only fished until noon because the wind got up and made paddling a chore. Boated 18 White bass, 1 LM bass (~2.5 lbs), 1 white perch, a junior channel cat, also missed about half that many. Great morning of fun on a beautiful day. Biggest white bass was 18", though most were ~12-15".
