An interesting day to say the least. The smell of gun smoke in the morning……

Crappie fishing while avoiding bullets? Not sure I want quite that much excitement in my fishing day.

Fishing down here is mostly an Adventure anyway but like most things seen on the Pearl connected with the Government after a while it gets to be either Ho Hum, or worse an annoyance. The Guys need a place to train, I address that in the last video we shot on the Pearl. I will see if I can find the Container Barge picture I took of the unit they have for moving NASA stuff to and from the Test Site. When they crank it up testing the dishes vibrate here 13 miles away thru the woods.

I typically avoid live firing ranges myself , we have one just a hop from where I park at one spot , swat training , they sure do operate some super fast weapons in there , sounds almost pretend like movie kinda stuff .
Looks like ya ketched a nice mess to me and in the end , no bullet holes .....nice combo bro

Just after 9/11 I was at a Coast Guard base in North Carolina. An ice storm had wrecked the electrical system. There was an impact range in the area. Got to see the Coasties rock and roll with those big Boston Whaler center consoles running triple outboards. Had a belt fed 50 in the front and one on the rear. Boat leader said they would run between 60 and 70 mph depending on load out. Definitely fun times

One of my favorite fishing spots is a creek that runs thru a Dallas suburb. During the spring when the white bass are running you can fill your stringer. My spot is right behind a gun range and skeet shooters rounds pepper the trees above your head. Your 25ft down into the creek bed so there is no chance that you will get hit with a round. It's still pretty unnerving for newbies when they fish that part of the creek.
